Fish Fry, a Precious Toddler and Doggy Friends

Today we had the best time at the Summer Trace Fish Fry. The weather was perfect, the food was great, and Mom got to visit with the sweet little daughter of Amie Pratt, one the Summer Trace Speech Therapists. Two years ago Mom and I got to go to Amie's baby shower when she was expecting Reese. (At that shower, we got to see Amie's Dalmation, Bingo, exercise on his treadmill!) Hard to believe that "baby" is two-years-old now! We got to visit with Reese's grandmother, Nilene Schurig, also.

Then, we all got to visit with another friend, Susan Barakat and her daughter, Ruthie and their dogs, Freckles and Buddie.

Bible Study Dog

Here's Mom enjoying the Tuesday Bible Study alongside Evan and his dog, Pete. Pete loves that Mom has a bag of dog treats in the bag on her walker.

At the end of the study Pete gets some extra attention from Mom...

and from each one of the other residents in attendance.

Laura and Jeff visit for cards

Our friends Laura and Jeff from church joined us for cards July 22. Mom really enjoyed hearing about their lives in Brazil and their work with OMS churches. You can read about that their work at: http://www.omsinternational.org/missionaries/jledwards

Cookout and Cornhole and Pups

Today Summer Trace had one of their summer lunch cookouts. It is the first one Phil and I have been able to make it to. The weather was perfect! After lunch we watched Phil and Charlie play Cornhole with 2 staff guys. Dorothy brought her dogs, Bacon and Abby, to visit. Bacon enjoyed finishing an ice cream cone. Fun day!
