Gram's New Neighbor - A Kitty Cat!

Gram has a new neighbor - a lovely gray kitty cat.

Mom is so happy to have this new furry friend.

She also enjoys the kitty's owner, not pictured here.

Mother's Day 2009 - Four Years in Indiana

This Mother's Day marks the four year anniversary of Mom's move to Indiana. Since I have been really ill for three days with a major head cold, I am waiting to celebrate with Mom when I am no longer sick. So in lieu of Mother's Day photos, here is a slide show of pics commemorating her four years in Indiana. (These pics are kind of small! Singin' in the Rain

May 7th a group from Summer Trace went to see the Carmel High School production of Singin' in the Rain. It was extremely well done! And when we came out, it was raining! Mom's umbrella saved the day.

Quilt Quarters' Kathy Springer Demo for Mom

Mom and I went to Quilt Quarters and it was SUCH a treat to find that my old friend Kathy is there full time now! Kathy made the Blue Star quilt hanging behind them in this picture:

Kathy gave Mom a wonderful demonstration of what you can do with the new $12,000 Bernina!



Kathy explained how the computer program works.

The machine sews an embroidery pattern itself! Hands free!




Mom absolutely loved her visit to Quilt Quarters! And Kathy has a new friend for life!

Ellen Anne Eddy's Visit - 2nd day, May 1st

Ellen stopped by Mom's to tell her goodbye before she and I made our whirlwind tour of Indy.

Mom showed Ellen her orchid in bloom and other plants.

We stopped to see Terri Gunn, owner of Quilt Quarters.

Had a meeting with Brett Cox, from the Indianapolis Museum of Art Retail Shop

and Niloo Paydar, IMA's Curator of Textile and Fashion Arts.

Our final appointment was with Sean Hildreth, Public Events Coordinator at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.

After our meeting Sean escorted Ellen to see Fireworks of Glass by Dale Chihuly.

After two days of visiting museums and shops to deliver Ellen's information packets and books, we were thrilled to relax on the revolving couch in the Chihuly exhibit below Fireworks...

and enjoy the colorful display:
