Fun on Card Night Sept 10, 2008

We had quite a large group for Kings-in-the-Corner this week and really had fun. We enjoyed the monthly buffet supper with Mom before cards.

Mom spent some time with the knitting group first and then she and Pat came down to Raspberry Harry's and joined those of us who were playing cards. The picture below is a video. Click on the arrow to play.

Birthday and Sports Talk

Mom and I celebrated my 55th birthday (Phil was in Georgia on business) at Summer Trace with dinner and a very entertaining evening with Jake Query, WIBC Radio Sports Announcer, who spoke at Summer Trace August 18th.

We had fun with Sports Quizzes and he had us all in stitches!

Rob, Shelli, T.J. and Jayda Came to Visit

Rob, Shelli, T.J. and Jayda came from Des Moines to visit us. That involved some fishing at our house - and yes, we caught a turtle!

And a few large mouth bass...


We spent Friday at the Children's Museum.


And had Italian at Mama Carolla's at 54th on the Monon.

T.J. and Jayda enjoyed hanging out with Gram at Phil and Betsy's.

Saturday we stopped to check out the new Lucas Oil Stadium on our way to the Zoo. (Gram passed on the Zoo exertion.)

T.J. and Jayda and Rob and Shelli all enjoyed petting sharks at the Zoo.

Gram rejoined us to watch her great-grandchildren enjoy a swim at Springhill Suites.

And for a cookout at Phil and Betsy's.

Phil, having returned from a business trip to Syracuse, got to enjoy the tail end of the fishing fun. We caught another turtle and named this one Sue.
