It was quite a festive atmosphere complete with party hats and refreshments and noise makers.
And yes, we all stayed up 'til midnight watching and waiting for the ball to drop in Times Square!
And when the New Year arrived we created quite a ruckus...
...with our party horns and whistles!
Everyone was in a happy mood as we wished each other a Happy New Year.
Here's a photo, taken that same night, of Mom with one of her precious nurses, Candy. They are holding up a can of traditional black eye peas I brought Mom for New Years.
Another big treat Mom got today was a handmade picture book from her granddaughter, Jan, filled with photos of their recent trip to Scotland.
