Orchid Question...

An orchid my sister, Gail, gave to Mom over a year ago bloomed again this year and the blossoms lasted a really long time! They just now fell off. We are amazed at all the air roots(?!) that are shooting off of this plant and wondered if there was something we should be doing for that. Mom loves plants.
